HOW IT WORKS - STEP 1

EVAPORATOR PROCESS

We start by pulling in outside air over the evaporator, which contains cold refrigerant gas. Since this gas is colder than the ambient air, heat from the air is transferred into the colder gas.

HOW IT WORKS - STEP 2

COMPRESSION

The slightly warmed gas is then pumped through a compressor. When a gas is compressed, it naturally increases in temperature, heating it up even more.

HOW IT WORKS - STEP 3

HEAT EXCHANGE

This hot gas is then drawn through a condenser/heat exchanger, which transfers the heat into the hot tub water, warming it up.

HOW IT WORKS - STEP 4

COOLING DOWN

Finally, the gas needs to be cooled again. This is done by passing it through an expansion valve, which releases the pressure on the gas, allowing it to cool down. It's similar to how gas from an aerosol can feels cold when you spray it, due to the expansion.
